An Equity Sprint™ is a collaborative, problem-solving process designed to help members break their personal algorithms and approach challenges in new ways. Drawing from hackathons, think tanks, and software sprints, and informed by inclusive collaboration and iterative design, Equity Sprints™ empower members to work across sectors and develop actionable solutions for real-world issues.

Here’s what you can expect:


Imagine an Equity Sprint™ focused on improving access to mental health services in underserved communities. Your team will work together to analyze the problem from multiple angles—considering individual, organizational, and policy levels—refining the solution each week as new insights emerge. By the end of the 6-week cycle, you’ll have a comprehensive, actionable plan ready for development or implementation.

Equity Sprints™ combine inclusive collaboration and iterative design to solve complex challenges while helping members break their personal algorithms. You’ll work through each stage of the sprint with support from your team, gaining leadership skills and building meaningful connections along the way. At the end of each sprint, teams present their solutions in a Solution Showcase, ready for the next steps.

The CIDAHE Certification verifies that a professional has met rigorous standards of competency, fluency, and applied skill in interdisciplinary health equity strategy.
Certification is awarded only after successful completion of a multi-step evaluation, portfolio review, and practical application of a five-pillar framework.
